If there’s one cuisine I don’t have enough of it would Greek, so I was excited to join FCBA at their dinner at Platia Greek Taverna, not only for a night of good food but also plate smashing!
Their plate smashing occurs once a month on Friday nights, and is a fun filled night with performances, dancing, and the opportunity to relieve all your stress by smashing plates on the ground (don’t worry, they’re not real plates,it’s not dangerous at all!).
There’s no shortage of delicious cocktails.
It’s been a while since I set foot in Broadway, a place I often frequented back in my uni days. So yes, I might be a little late to discover but how the food options have improved!
We’re here today one of the many restaurants which didn’t used to be here- Bondi Pizza – with FCBA to try out a selection of their menu. And it’s quite a feast!
It’s not my first time at Bondi Pizza, infact I think I’ve visited just about every Bondi Pizza branch now……except the one in Bondi!
Salt & Pepper Calamari ($11.95) Arancini Balls ($11.95)
With such a unique name, there’s probably not many Sydneysiders who havent heard of Haven Tailoring Coffee Joyously. And whilst the idea of tailored coffee doesn’t appeal to me (I’m not a big coffee drinker), I am a huge fan of their menu, so when I was particularly excited to try our their new menu with some foodie friends when FCBA invited me along.
Havenly Affogato with Vanilla Bean or Matcha Ice-cream $ 6 (top left, bottom right)
It’s been a while since my last visit so the menu has changed quite a bit, although the classic favourites are still there, along with some creative new options.
But first, drinks.
If dessert for breakfast is not your thing, then I’d suggest staying away from the Havenly Affogato. But if you’ve got a crazy sweet tooth like me, then this is the drink to order. I say drink, but this version of affogato is much more of a dessert than a drink, with an impressively large serve of ice cream (two scoops!)
I’m a sucker for all things sweet and naturally, rarely one to turn down dessert so when I had the opportunity to visit Passiontree, a dessert cafe, to trial some of their desserts I couldn’t say no!
Epic Hot Chocolates: White Mint, Campfire S’Mores, Peanut Butter Cuppa, Rose Delight ($9.90)
