I think I might have found my new favourite Italian place. I don’t really play favourites, but we were so impressed with Toki Italian Inspired that we came back for a second visit shortly after (shortly after) even if it meant an hours drive.
It’s named ‘Italian Inspired’ as it’s not run by Italians (some customers can get offended over thees finer details it seems). But regardless, it’s a delicious menu featuring many of your Italian classics, with some Asian influences which really make it standout.
Salt & Pepper Calamari ($12)
Every neighbourhood has their own local pizza joint, but Vincenzo’s is the kind of homely pizzeria that makes you wish you lived in the area!
Garlic Bread ($4.9)
We’re here today with a small group of foodies to check out some of Vincenzo’s menu.
Garlic Prawns ($24.90)
The restaurants and bars down in Kingsford are a lot more lively than you’d expect of a weekday night. Perhaps its the nature of the area, filled with uni students. Or perhaps is because it’s a spot saturated with great eats. Regardless of the reason, it’s clear that the locals know where to go for a good bite. And Mamma Teresa’s seems to be a popular the pick, a cosy Italian restaurant sitting on the busy strip that is Anzac Parade.
Pesto Pasta ($14.50)
There’s a nice homely feel to the restaurant, the double sided menu offering a range of choices, although from what we can see it’s the pizzas and pastas that everyone’s here for.
We thought we’d try the pasta for entree, but if you’re a fan of pesto pasta, you’ll want to have this for a main. It’s a generous serve, but we have no trouble licking the bowl clean from the super creamy and moreish pesto sauce that coats the pasta.
Chicken Cacciatore ($23.90)
Walking into Vivaldi Kitchen feels like walking into a friendly home. And that’s exactly what it’s all about in this family run restaurant- hearty home style meals served with warm smiles. The online reviews for Vivaldi Kitchen are nothing short of amazing, and it’s not hard to see why!
Zucchini Flowers with 4 cheeses ($18)
It’s been a while since I set foot in Broadway, a place I often frequented back in my uni days. So yes, I might be a little late to discover but how the food options have improved!
We’re here today one of the many restaurants which didn’t used to be here- Bondi Pizza – with FCBA to try out a selection of their menu. And it’s quite a feast!
It’s not my first time at Bondi Pizza, infact I think I’ve visited just about every Bondi Pizza branch now……except the one in Bondi!
Salt & Pepper Calamari ($11.95) Arancini Balls ($11.95)
