A name can say a lot about a venue, and DARE Delicious And Responsible Eating, definitely describes it well. It might not be the flashiest of cafes, but it’s one you will easily grow to love, from the homey vibes of the interior to the warm service and nutritious menu options.
I mean, just look at the attention to detail in their glass of water- does your local cafe that has water that looks so pretty it could pass for an expensive cocktail?
When was the last time you had a good crepe?
I’ll admit, it took a bit of thinking for me to answer this question. It’s been a while since I’ve had a crepe, let alone a good one! So if you’re anything like me, a visit to Crepe House Café is exactly what you need remind you what you’ve been missing out on!
Not being from the area, I don’t hang around in Balmain very often, but it’s seems to be quite the spot for brunch. There seems to be no shortage of delicious food options, and in an area densely populated with trendy cafes you’ll be spoilt for choice for brunch.
Which naturally makes it hard for newcomers to standout. But it’s hard to miss God’s Creation, with their bright aqua green exterior.
It’s by no means the only standout, and we can already tell we’re in for a bit of a treat when we start reading through the menu. With options like Prosciutto Omelette, scallop deluxe and black truffle toast it’s much fancier than your average neighbourhood cafe fare.
We’ve landed at God’s Creation today, thanks to an invite from Dr Social and God’s Creation and we honestly could not be more thankful for the invite to pull us out of the comfort zone of our own hood.
The Salmon di Panarea ($20)
$25 is pretty standard for the price of brunch in Sydney.
It will probably get you a big breakfast in most cafés, or an eggs benny and drink, or perhaps a slightly more substantial lunch dish. But if you want to take your $25 further, you’ve got to visit Bare Grill.
For those of us hanging out in the ‘burbs, it’s not often that we get up to anything exciting after work- we don’t get the luxury of walking out of the office on Friday night, straight into the night life like the city dwellers! So when Left of Field announced their ‘Queen’s Feast’, a dinner collab with N2 Gelato, we couldn’t get out hands on those tickets quickly enough! We’re used to Left of Field by day, but with Queen tunes blaring out of speakers, and a dinner set up complete with tablecloths and blankets, it’s a completely different vibe at night!
