It’s not often that I have Greek food, so when the team at Zeus Street Greek invited me to try their menu, I was only too happy to check it out!
There’s multiple locations, but the Gladesville branch is convenient, and nice an spacious too which made it perfect for a post-work dinner.
The Zeus for two is the perfect answer to those unsure of what to order, a $49 feast which is made up your choice of meat from the spit, a sharing plate (side) & a salad with pilaf, tzatziki & pita bread.
If there’s one thing you can’t leave without trying it’s the haloumi chips.
They’re sticks of freshly deep fried haloumi, an incredibly crisp exterior and a piping hot haloumi interior that’s much softer than what we had imagined.
We opt for the seasonal special salad which is the green bean salad, crisp green beans served with feta, figs, roasted almonds, dressed in a balsamic vinaigrette.
Our choice of meat is the lamb, which is nicely spiced and cooked over coal. Carbs come in the form of a tasty pilaf and fluffy pita bread.
Loukoumades are a fantastic way to finish off the meal, and the sticky honey, cinnamon sugar & walnut makes for the perfect topping.
