It’s great to see how far the cafe scene in the Hills grown in the past couple of years, and whilst there’s plenty of new cafes to try, one that remains a local favourite is The Local Trade. It’s location next to the playground makes it a popular spot for family’s and it’s buzzing when we pop in for a quick brunch on Sunday morning.

Sweet potato chips ($7)
The menu does change seasonally but is essentially made of the classic plus a couple of rotating dishes. We can’t go past the sweet potato chips which are nice and crispy.

Spring roasted veggie bowl ($17.50)
The spring roasted veggie bowl is fresh and packed full of flavour from the carrot and cumin puree, roasted brussel sprouts, za’atar mushrooms, brocolini and pickled baby carrots.

Eggs Benedict ($19.50)
Egg Benedict is a classic and we’re loving that it’s served with a herby kick from the salsa verde.
