You don’t even need to open Instagram to see how much of a online presence Two Sis & Co. has. Just sit down for a meal, or even just a drink, and the amount of cameras pointing towards food will give you a fair idea.
From beautiful pouring shots of their blue latte, to their Persian fairy floss covered shakes and french toast, and bruleed banana on their hot cakes, there’s no shortage of photogenic material. It makes for a great flatlay too, hence the constant standing up from numerous diners. We’re in 2018 after all!
We’re not so much here for the perfect Insta shot, than to grab a quick bite as we happened to be in the area. And though there is a bit of a wait, we’re surprised the crowd isn’t crazy big at 11 on a Sunday morning (infact, we get a seat within 10 minutes!).
As pretty as their colourful drinks are, we stick with what we know and go for a green juice, a mix of Kale, Spinach, Ginger, Orange & Apple Juice. We’re impressed by the presentation of what would otherwise be a ordinary looking drink, complete with a pretty pink petals.
Their choice of using metal straws for their cold drinks is one we really appreciate too!
The food is worth a try. The presentation of their dishes is impeccable, it’s almost as if they have a beautiful garden out the back, as there’s pretty flower and petals scattered all over.
But it’s not just good looks!
The Green brekkie bowl definitely gets the dietitian tick of approval. It comes as a generous serve of fresh veggies, served with quinoa and poached eggs. A scatter of fetta and dukkah on the eggs make sure there’s plenty of flavour, and we have no problems clearing the whole bowl.
We don’t stay long as the back corner we’re in gets crazy loud, especially when there’s large, loud groups inside. If you have time, I’d wait around for an outside table or one at least near the door. You’ll get better lighting and you won’t have to move the tables around just to get out of the place!
